Notwithstanding s. 338.2275, the Central Florida Expressway Authority may exercise its condemnation powers, construct, finance, operate, own, and maintain the portion of State Road 414 known as the Maitland Boulevard Extension and the realigned portion of the Northwest Beltway Part A as part of the authority‘s long-range capital improvement plan. The Maitland Boulevard Extension extends from the current terminus of State Road 414 at U.S. 441 west to State Road 429 in west Orange County. The realigned portion of the Northwest Beltway Part A runs from the point at or near where the Maitland Boulevard Extension connects with State Road 429 and proceeds to the west and then north resulting in the northern terminus of State Road 429 moving farther west before reconnecting with U.S. 441. However, under no circumstances may the realignment of the Northwest Beltway Part A conflict with or contradict the alignment of the Wekiva Parkway as defined in s. 348.7546. This project may be financed with any funds available to the authority for such purpose or revenue bonds issued by the authority under Fla. Const. Art. VII, § 11 and s. 348.755(1)(b).
