It is unlawful for any person to contract with or employ any farm labor contractor as defined in this act, for matters relating to farm labor, until the labor contractor displays to him or her a current certificate of registration issued by the department pursuant to the requirements of this part. A violation of this section is subject to the penalties provided for violations in s. 450.38(1).
