The Legislature, in behalf of and for the state, assents to, and gives its assent to, the provisions and requirements of the Act of Congress commonly known as the “Smith-Lever Act,” and all acts supplemental thereto, and the University of Florida Board of Trustees, having supervision over and control of the University of Florida, located at Gainesville, may receive the grants of money appropriated under said Act of Congress and organize and conduct agricultural and home economics extension work, which shall be carried on in connection with the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences, in accordance with the terms and conditions expressed in said Act of Congress.
