The Board may require any person withdrawing surface water for any purpose in any surface water management area to furnish information with regard to such surface water withdrawal and the use thereof.
Terms Used In Virginia Code 62.1-244
- Board: means the State Water Control Board. See Virginia Code 62.1-242
- Person: includes any individual, corporation, partnership, association, cooperative, limited liability company, trust, joint venture, government, political subdivision, or any other legal or commercial entity and any successor, representative, agent, agency, or instrumentality thereof. See Virginia Code 1-230
- Surface water: means any water in the Commonwealth, except ground water, as defined in § Virginia Code 62.1-242
- Surface water management area: means a geographically defined surface water area in which the Board has deemed the levels or supply of surface water to be potentially adverse to public welfare, health and safety. See Virginia Code 62.1-242
