Prior to submitting recommendations to the Governor and the General Assembly, the Director shall upon request of any interested state agency or political subdivision, or upon his own motion, hold a public hearing on a proposal to designate a scenic river.
Terms Used In Virginia Code 10.1-403
- Director: means the Director of the Department of Conservation and Recreation. See Virginia Code 10.1-400
- River: means a flowing body of water, or a section or portion thereof. See Virginia Code 10.1-400
- state agency: means the same as that term is defined in § Virginia Code 1-206
