- Court: means the court that exercised juvenile jurisdiction over the child in need of care proceedings involving the youth prior to his eighteenth birthday. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 46:288.2
- Department: means the Department of Children and Family Services. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 46:288.2
- Interest rate: The amount paid by a borrower to a lender in exchange for the use of the lender's money for a certain period of time.
