Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 3:3546
- Board: means the Louisiana Rice Research Board. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 3:3541
- Person: means an individual, partnership, firm, corporation, association or other business unit. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 3:3541
- Producer: means any person who receives a share of the proceeds from the sale of rice produced in this state. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 3:3541
- Rice: means all marketable green and rough "paddy" rice produced within the State of Louisiana for milling, seed or other commercial purposes. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 3:3541
The members of the Louisiana Rice Research Board shall not be responsible individually in any way whatsoever to any producer or any other person for errors in judgment, mistakes, or other acts, either of commission or omission, except for their own individual acts of dishonesty or crime. No such person shall be held responsible individually for any act or omission of any other member of the board. The liability of the board shall be several and not joint and no member shall be liable for the default of any other member.
