- Pleadings: Written statements of the parties in a civil case of their positions. In the federal courts, the principal pleadings are the complaint and the answer.
When a court orders the transfer of an action to another court under Article 121, 122, or 932 of the Code of Civil Procedure, upon the payment of all fees due him under La. Rev. Stat. 13:3272 by the party requesting the transfer, the clerk of the transferring court shall transmit, by registered or certified mail, to the clerk of the court to which the action is transferred a certified copy of all of the pleadings, exhibits, and other documents filed, of the citation and return thereon, of all minute entries relating to the action, and of all orders and judgments rendered therein.
