No boiler in this state, the city of New Orleans excepted, shall be installed, moved, or reinstalled without a permit issued to a licensed person by a chief boiler inspector. Whoever fails to comply with the provisions of La. Rev. Stat. 23:543 and 544 shall be fined not more than one thousand dollars or imprisoned for not more than one year, or both. Each violation hereunder shall constitute a separate offense.
