- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
The ordinance or enactment providing for the payment of the principal and interest of any debt created by the governing authority of a municipal corporation shall remain in full force until the debt and interest is paid, subject to the time limit provided in La. Rev. Stat. 33:2922.
