Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 37:3131
- Auction: includes but is not limited to all of the following:

- Person: means an individual, partnership, company, corporation, association, or group however organized. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 37:3103
- Property: means any property, tangible and intangible, real, personal, or mixed. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 37:3103
All property sold at auction shall in all cases be struck off to the highest bidder except such as may be limited. When the owner or any person employed by him is the highest bidder, he is subject to the same duties as if the property had been struck off to any other person.
