- Oath: A promise to tell the truth.
Before entering upon his official duties each member of the board of commissioners shall take the oath of office provided by La. Const. Art. X, § 30 before an officer authorized by law to administer oaths. The oaths of the commissioners shall be recorded in the oath book of the parish.
