- Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
A. Any judicial action under this Part shall be governed by La. Rev. Stat. 49:978.1.
B. Any appeal for judicial review of the secretary’s decision shall be commenced in the Nineteenth Judicial District Court within sixty days after receipt of the decision of the secretary under La. Rev. Stat. 48:295.3(E).
