Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 15:841

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.

The Northeast Louisiana Correctional Center is hereby created as a political corporation, with power to sue and be sued.  It shall be administered by a board of governors.
