- Arrest: Taking physical custody of a person by lawful authority.
- Probable cause: A reasonable ground for belief that the offender violated a specific law.
A. No school administrator shall release a minor into protective custody unless the official to whom the minor is being released provides the following information about the minor:
(1) First and last name.
(2) Address.
(3) Date of birth.
B. The provisions of this Section shall not apply to an arrest for which there is probable cause.
