Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 48:255.1
- Contractor: means any individual, partnership, joint venture, firm, corporation, limited liability partnership, limited liability company, or any acceptable combination thereof contracting for performance of public work for the department. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 48:251.9
The department may require each proposed contractor to furnish sufficient information that shall indicate the financial and other capacities of the contractor to perform the proposed work. This information shall be subject to audit and shall be recorded by the department on forms clearly marked “confidential”, and these forms and the information contained on them shall be treated as confidential and shall be exempted from the provisions of La. Rev. Stat. 44:1 through 37.
