Nebraska Statutes 60-3,162. Certificate of registration; improper issuance; revocation
(1) The department shall, upon a sworn complaint in writing of any person, investigate whether a certificate of registration:

- Complaint: A written statement by the plaintiff stating the wrongs allegedly committed by the defendant.
- Department: means the Department of Motor Vehicles. See Nebraska Statutes 60-319
- International Registration Plan: means the International Registration Plan adopted by International Registration Plan, Inc. See Nebraska Statutes 60-334.01
- Motor vehicle: means any vehicle propelled by any power other than muscular power. See Nebraska Statutes 60-339
- Person: shall include bodies politic and corporate, societies, communities, the public generally, individuals, partnerships, limited liability companies, joint-stock companies, and associations. See Nebraska Statutes 49-801
- State: when applied to different states of the United States shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories organized by Congress. See Nebraska Statutes 49-801
- Sworn: shall include affirmed in all cases in which an affirmation may be substituted for an oath. See Nebraska Statutes 49-801
- Trailer: means any device without motive power designed for carrying persons or property and being towed by a motor vehicle and so constructed that no part of its weight rests upon the towing vehicle. See Nebraska Statutes 60-354
(a) Has been issued on a motor vehicle or trailer that exceeds the length, height, or width provided by law;
(b) Was issued contrary to any law of this state; or
(c) Was issued to a person who has had a certificate of registration revoked pursuant to subdivision (1)(c) of section 60-3,183 under the International Registration Plan Act.
(2) If the department validates the information in the complaint after conducting such investigation, it shall have the power to revoke such certificate of registration.
