The privilege of driving a motor vehicle on the highways of this state given to a nonresident shall be subject to suspension or revocation by the director or revocation or impoundment by the trial magistrate or judge in like manner and for like cause as an operator’s license may be suspended, revoked, or impounded. The director may, upon receiving a copy of a judgment of the conviction in this state of a nonresident driver of a motor vehicle of any offense under the motor vehicle laws of this state, transmit a certified copy of such judgment of conviction to the motor vehicle administrator in the state wherein the person so convicted is a resident.

- Conviction: A judgement of guilt against a criminal defendant.
- Director: shall mean the Director of Motor Vehicles. See Nebraska Statutes 60-466
- Magistrate: shall include judge of the county court and clerk magistrate. See Nebraska Statutes 49-801
- Motor vehicle: means all vehicles propelled by any power other than muscular power. See Nebraska Statutes 60-471
- Nonresident: shall mean every person who is not a resident of this state. See Nebraska Statutes 60-472
- Person: shall mean every natural person, firm, partnership, limited liability company, association, or corporation. See Nebraska Statutes 60-476
- State: when applied to different states of the United States shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories organized by Congress. See Nebraska Statutes 49-801
- Trial: A hearing that takes place when the defendant pleads "not guilty" and witnesses are required to come to court to give evidence.
- Vehicle: shall mean every device in, upon, or by which any person or property is or may be transported or drawn upon a highway except devices moved solely by human power or used exclusively upon stationary rails or tracks. See Nebraska Statutes 60-478
