Any member of the board of trustees who fails or refuses to perform any of the duties required to be performed by the board of trustees of the land grant-merced by N.M. Stat. Ann. Chapter 49, Article 4 or by any other law of New Mexico is guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punished by a fine of not less than twenty- five dollars ($25.00) nor more than one hundred dollars ($100) or by imprisonment in the county jail for a period of not less than thirty days nor more than ninety days, or both.
