A. Subject to rules promulgated by the board, a nurse practitioner or clinical nurse specialist may supervise a psychologist in the prescribing of psychotropic medication pursuant to the Professional Psychologist Act [N.M. Stat. Ann. Chapter 61, Article 9].

B. No later than January 1, 2020, the board shall promulgate regulations for a nurse practitioner or clinical nurse specialist who supervises a psychologist in the prescribing of psychotropic medication pursuant to the Professional Psychologist Act.
