Corporate Formation
A corporation is a business or organization formed by a group of people, and it has rights and liabilities separate from those of the individuals who formed it. A corporation is formed under the laws of the state where it’s registered by filing documents such as the articles of incorporation. The corporation must register its legal name with the state government and includes a corporate designation after the name, i.e. Corporation, Incorporated, Limited.
