Terms Used In 19 CFR 127.24

  • Importer: means the person primarily liable for the payment of any duties on the merchandise, or an authorized agent acting on his behalf. See 19 CFR 101.1

(a) Importer, if known; or

(b) Consignee, if name and address can be ascertained; or

(c) Shipper, his representative or agent, if merchandise is consigned to order or consignee cannot be ascertained; or

(d) Warehouse transferee; or

(e) Lienholder.
