You may renounce an inherited or devised interest in trust or restricted property, including a life estate, or in trust personalty if:
Terms Used In 43 CFR 30.180
- Life estate: A property interest limited in duration to the life of the individual holding the interest (life tenant).
- restricted property: as used in this part does not include the restricted lands of the Five Civilized Tribes of Oklahoma or the Osage Nation. See 43 CFR 30.101
(a) You are 18 years or older and not under a legal disability; or
(b) You are an entity.
