Terms Used In 45 CFR Part 1000 - Individual Development Account Reserve Funds Established Pursuant to Grants for Assets for Independence

• Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
• Assets: (1) The property comprising the estate of a deceased person, or (2) the property in a trust account.
