Terms Used In U.S. Code > Title 13 > Chapter 3 > Subchapter V - Miscellaneous

  • Bureau: means the Bureau of the Census. See 13 USC 1
  • Complaint: A written statement by the plaintiff stating the wrongs allegedly committed by the defendant.
  • Conviction: A judgement of guilt against a criminal defendant.

  • Lien: A claim against real or personal property in satisfaction of a debt.
