Terms Used In Alabama Code 10A-2A-15.11
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Deed: The legal instrument used to transfer title in real property from one person to another.

- Fiduciary: A trustee, executor, or administrator.

- foreign corporation: as used in this division , shall mean:
(1) Any bank or other corporation now or hereafter organized or existing under the laws of any state of the United States other than this state; and (2) Any national banking association or other corporation organized under the laws of the United States having its principal place of business in any state of the United States other than this state. See Alabama Code 10A-2A-15.10 - Guardian: A person legally empowered and charged with the duty of taking care of and managing the property of another person who because of age, intellect, or health, is incapable of managing his (her) own affairs.
- Inter vivos: Transfer of property from one living person to another living person.
- Mortgage: The written agreement pledging property to a creditor as collateral for a loan.
- National Bank: A bank that is subject to the supervision of the Comptroller of the Currency. The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency is a bureau of the U.S. Treasury Department.
