Terms Used In Alabama Code 11-50-234.1

  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
  • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the several territories of the United States. See Alabama Code 1-1-1
  • Statute: A law passed by a legislature.

The board of directors of any waterworks or sewer board heretofore or hereafter organized pursuant to the statute now codified as Sections 11-50-230 through jurisdiction, etc., of State Board of Health and state Public Service Commission” class=”unlinked-ref” datatype=”S” sessionyear=”2020″ statecd=”AL” title=”11″>11-50-241, may by resolution adopted by such board of directors, authorize the payment by such board of a reasonable meeting expense allowance, not exceeding the daily pay of the highest paid employee of the board, to each member of the board of directors for expenses in attendance at meetings of the board of directors and attending to and supervising the business of such board.
