- Remainder: An interest in property that takes effect in the future at a specified time or after the occurrence of some event, such as the death of a life tenant.
To the extent not inconsistent with existing law, nothing in this code affects the remainder of Chapter 2 of this title or the Constitution of Alabama of 1901.
