Terms Used In Alabama Code 34-30-55

  • Impeachment: (1) The process of calling something into question, as in "impeaching the testimony of a witness." (2) The constitutional process whereby the House of Representatives may "impeach" (accuse of misconduct) high officers of the federal government for trial in the Senate.

Members of the Board of Social Work Examiners can be removed from office for cause in the manner provided by the statutes of Alabama for removal of public officials who are not subject to impeachment.
