- Assets: (1) The property comprising the estate of a deceased person, or (2) the property in a trust account.
- Decedent: A deceased person.
- Executor: A male person named in a will to carry out the decedent
- Intestate: Dying without leaving a will.
- Testator: A male person who leaves a will at death.
The executor or administrator of any decedent who, as executor, administrator or otherwise, has wasted or converted to his own use any assets of any other decedent is liable in the same manner as his testator or intestate would have been if living.
