Terms Used In Alabama Code 43-2-533
- Executor: A male person named in a will to carry out the decedent
- Settlement: Parties to a lawsuit resolve their difference without having a trial. Settlements often involve the payment of compensation by one party in satisfaction of the other party's claims.
If, however, such executor or administrator appears and files his accounts and vouchers for settlement and pays such costs as have accrued upon the proceedings had under sections 43-2-530 through 43-2-532, the court may set aside such decree and proceed as if none had been rendered.
