Terms Used In Alabama Code > Title 35 > Chapter 10 > Article 1A - Foreclosure by Power of Sale for Mortgages Executed After December 31, 1988

  • Deed: The legal instrument used to transfer title in real property from one person to another.

  • Grantor: The person who establishes a trust and places property into it.

  • Mortgagee: The person to whom property is mortgaged and who has loaned the money.
