- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
The department may not grant an exclusive right for the use of an airway, airport, or air navigation facility under its jurisdiction. This section does not prevent the making of contracts, leases, and other arrangements under Alaska Stat. § 02.15.060 – 02.15.100 and 02.15.120, including exclusive contracts for the sale and delivery of in-bond merchandise described in Alaska Stat. § 02.15.091.
