(a) A member of the board of directors or a member of the credit committee or supervisory committee or an employee of a credit union may not participate in the deliberation or the determination of a question affecting the person‘s own pecuniary interest or the pecuniary interest of a corporation, partnership, or association in which the person is interested.

Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 06.45.270

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
  • person: includes a corporation, company, partnership, firm, association, organization, business trust, or society, as well as a natural person. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
(b) A person who violates (a) of this section may not thereafter serve as an officer, agent, or employee of a credit union.
