- state: means the State of Alaska unless applied to the different parts of the United States and in the latter case it includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
The governor shall appoint a board of medical examiners, to be known as the State Medical Board, consisting of five physicians licensed in the state and residing in as many separate geographical areas of the state as possible, one physician assistant licensed under Alaska Stat. § 08.64.107, and two persons with no direct financial interest in the health care industry.
