Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 08.80.400
- dispensing: means the preparation and delivery of a drug or device to a patient or patient's agent under a lawful order of a practitioner in a suitable container appropriately labeled for subsequent administration to, or use by, a patient. See Alaska Statutes 08.80.480
- person: has the meaning given in Alaska Stat. See Alaska Statutes 08.80.480
This chapter does not affect the practice of medicine by a licensed medical doctor and does not limit a licensed medical doctor, osteopath, podiatrist, physician assistant, advanced practice registered nurse, dentist, veterinarian, dispensing optician, or optometrist in supplying a patient with any medicinal preparation or article within the scope of the person‘s license.
