Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 10.20.266

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • state: means the State of Alaska unless applied to the different parts of the United States and in the latter case it includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060

One or more foreign corporations and one or more domestic corporations may be merged or consolidated in the manner provided in Alaska Stat. § 10.20.271 and 10.20.275 if the merger or consolidation is permitted by the laws of the state under which each foreign corporation is organized.
