- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
Under Alaska Stat. Chapter 10.55 (Alaska Entity Transactions Act), a corporation may enter into mergers, interest exchanges, conversions, and domestications that are not covered by AS 10.20.216 – 10.20.280.
