Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 10.20.675

  • commissioner: means commissioner of commerce, community, and economic development. See Alaska Statutes 10.20.920
  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
  • state: means the State of Alaska unless applied to the different parts of the United States and in the latter case it includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060

Certificates issued by the commissioner in accordance with this chapter, and copies of documents filed in the commissioner’s office in accordance with the provisions of this chapter when certified by the commissioner, are prima facie evidence of the facts stated. A certificate by the commissioner under the seal of the state as to the existence or nonexistence of facts relating to corporations that do not appear from a certified copy of these documents or certificates is prima facie evidence of the existence or nonexistence of the facts stated.
