If there is no taker under this chapter,

(1) personal property in the intestate estate passes to the state and is subject to Alaska Stat. § 34.45.28034.45.780; if notice to heirs, substantially equivalent to that required by Alaska Stat. § 34.45.310, has been given by the personal representative or other person, Alaska Stat. § 34.45.310 does not apply;

  • Intestate: Dying without leaving a will.
  • person: includes a corporation, company, partnership, firm, association, organization, business trust, or society, as well as a natural person. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
  • Real property: Land, and all immovable fixtures erected on, growing on, or affixed to the land.
  • state: means the State of Alaska unless applied to the different parts of the United States and in the latter case it includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
(2) real property in the intestate estate passes to the state and is subject to Alaska Stat. § 38.95.20038.95.270.
