- Decedent: A deceased person.
- person: includes a corporation, company, partnership, firm, association, organization, business trust, or society, as well as a natural person. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
A person may not authorize cremation for a decedent‘s remains if a decedent has left directions in a disposition document that the decedent does not wish to be cremated.
