Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 17.21.030

  • Conviction: A judgement of guilt against a criminal defendant.
  • peace officer: means
    (A) an officer of the state troopers. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
  • person: includes a corporation, company, partnership, firm, association, organization, business trust, or society, as well as a natural person. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
(1) delegate that authority as appropriate; and
(2) cooperate with the Department of Health in carrying out the commissioner’s enforcement activities.
(b) This section does not limit the authority of a peace officer.
(c) A person who violates AS 17.21.010 is guilty of a violation, and, upon conviction, is punishable by a fine of not more than $500.
(d) The provisions of this section are in addition to the remedies available under Alaska Stat. § 45.50.47145.50.561.
