- Bail: Security given for the release of a criminal defendant or witness from legal custody (usually in the form of money) to secure his/her appearance on the day and time appointed.
The supreme court shall establish by rule or order a schedule of bail amounts that may be forfeited without court appearance for a violation of Alaska Stat. § 17.38.030 – 17.38.050.
