In Alaska Stat. § 21.27.630 – 21.27.660,

(1) “insurer” includes the Comprehensive Health Insurance Association created under Alaska Stat. § 21.55.010 and any person issued or required to obtain a certificate of authority under this title to transact life insurance, annuities, and health insurance or to provide coverage for the cost of medical care;

  • person: includes a corporation, company, partnership, firm, association, organization, business trust, or society, as well as a natural person. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
(2) “transact” has the meaning given in Alaska Stat. § 21.97.900.
