(a) A health maintenance organization shall file an annual statement with the director under Alaska Stat. § 21.09.200 and shall provide a copy to the commissioner of health . The annual statement shall be verified by at least two principal officers of the organization. The director may require additional reports that are reasonably necessary and appropriate in order for the director or the commissioner of health to carry out the duties prescribed by this chapter.

(b) The director may require a health maintenance organization to file quarterly financial statements. If quarterly financial statements are required, the statements must follow for a given quarter the reporting specified in the quarterly financial statement blank form and instructions most recently approved by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners.
(c) A filing under this section is subject to Alaska Stat. § 21.09.200 and 21.09.205.
