Alaska Statutes 29.20.120 – Applicability of apportionment provisions

The provisions of Alaska Stat. § 29.20.080 – 29.20.110 apply to home rule and general law municipalities, except they do not apply to a

(1) unified municipality;

municipality: means a political subdivision incorporated under the laws of the state that is a home rule or general law city, a home rule or general law borough, or a unified municipality. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060

(2) home rule borough if the borough, by home rule charter, provides for reapportionment of the assembly.
