- state: means the State of Alaska unless applied to the different parts of the United States and in the latter case it includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
Officials and employees of the state agencies, while traveling on official business and away from their designated post of duty, shall be allowed, instead of their actual expenses for subsistence and all fees or tips, a per diem allowance to be prescribed by the commissioner of administration under the regulatory authority set out in Alaska Stat. § 39.20.160, and in consultation with the head of the agency concerned.
