- state: means the State of Alaska unless applied to the different parts of the United States and in the latter case it includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
Notwithstanding Alaska Stat. § 39.20.310(6), court leave shall be granted to an employee who is classified as full time, whether permanent, nonpermanent, or temporary. An officer or employee called to serve as a juror or subpoenaed as a witness is entitled to administrative leave with pay, but compensation received by the employee or to which the employee is entitled, whichever is greater, for service as a juror or witness shall be deducted from pay to which the employee is entitled as a state officer or employee.
