Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 43.82.500

  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • municipality: means a political subdivision incorporated under the laws of the state that is a home rule or general law city, a home rule or general law borough, or a unified municipality. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
  • property: includes real and personal property. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060

If the commissioner develops a contract under Alaska Stat. § 43.82.020 that includes terms that exempt a party to the contract, and the property, gas, products, and activities associated with the approved qualified project that is subject to the contract, from a municipal tax or assessment in accordance with Alaska Stat. § 29.45.810 or Alaska Stat. § 29.46.010(b), or Alaska Stat. § 43.82.200 and 43.82.210, the commissioner shall include a term in the contract that the party pay a portion of the periodic payments due under the contract to the revenue-affected municipality.
