Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 44.50.033
- notary public: means a person commissioned to perform notarial acts under this chapter. See Alaska Statutes 44.50.200
- person: includes a corporation, company, partnership, firm, association, organization, business trust, or society, as well as a natural person. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
- state: means the State of Alaska unless applied to the different parts of the United States and in the latter case it includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
A person applying for a commission as a notary public shall pay a nonrefundable application fee. The lieutenant governor shall set the amount of the fee by regulation. However, an applicant for a limited governmental notary public commission under Alaska Stat. § 44.50.010 (a)(2) who is employed by the state may not be required to pay an application fee.
